Shadow City needs a hero. Prima Nocta wants to be that hero, because this place is really getting overrun with vampires.

Project Goals

I’m sure we’ve all noticed that one of the hazards of living in any city is that, sooner or later, the supernatural element moves in and sets up shop. Whether in the back rooms of inexplicably-large pool halls or the ramshackle upstairs apartments of psychic’s offices that suddenly house actual psychics, those who touch a world beyond our world are a part of life. And they’re great, right up until you walk into the wrong nightclub and realize your date’s a vampire who skipped lunch.

I’m a Licensed Paranormal Investigator coming from The Central. (I left for personal reasons that I don’t like to talk about—I’ll never really be rid of them, but this is a new city and a new start.) I want to help the citizens of Shadow City gain a little leverage over those who might seek to use superhuman means against them, and I’m uniquely qualified to protect the citizenry against things that go bump in the night. I’m certified in Werewolf Pack Dynamics and Vampire Social Structures, with a degree in Seelie Law from Greenvale University—and I’m licensed to carry both iron- and silver-firing sidearms.

So what do I need? Well, it’s hard to hang out a shingle without being able to afford a shingle. As someone who gets the job done but follows her own rules, who spent the last few years barely working in The Central, I don’t have a savings account. (I don’t like buying into the bank system, or any system.) I’ll be looking for a furnished office space— just a couple of desks and a safe for our supernatural treasures—and minimum salary requirements for my associates: a young hothead werewolf without a pack, and a vampire whose relationship with me is not open to discussion, so thanks for understanding.

I’m glad you’re here, and you’ll be glad Prima Nocta Detective Agency is here, too. Every donation counts. With your help, I’ll be able to give Shadow City the protection it deserves.
